Cutting Hair (Halq/Taqsir)
After Sa'i, men either shave the head (halq, better in reward) or trim equally from all sides (taqsir). Women trim only a small amount from the ends of their hair. This completes Umrah and lifts Ihram restrictions.
Essential Duaa
الحمد لله الذي هدانا لهذا وما كنا لنهتدي لولا أن هدانا الله
"Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi hadana lihadha wa ma kunna linahtadiya lawla an hadanallah."

Sunnah Guidelines
- For men, halq is more rewarding than taqsir
- The Prophet ﷺ made dua three times for those who shave and once for those who trim
- Women trim around fingertip length (about 1 to 2 cm) from all ends
- Shaving is prohibited for women; only trimming is allowed
- After this, Ihram restrictions are lifted and normal activities resume
- Thank Allah and ask for acceptance
